Well, I lost one of my little Yorkies, Peanut. She was a tough little dog. She lived a pampered and spoiled life, and a long one. Peanut was almost 15. I'll miss the 'little nut' but she's on the Rainbow Bridge.
Spring has finally arrived and boy am I ready for it! I've lived near Raleigh for over 20 years now, and this is the coldest winter I can remember. This winter reminds me of the winters of my childhood in Rowan County, NC. I don't know if getting older or not having a cold winter in so long has made it harder this year. We finally have green grass and the flowers and trees are blooming. I actually sat on my deck and had breakfast and read the Sunday paper. It seems like forever since that has happened. Hopefully a cold, wet winter is not the sign of a hot dry summer!
I belong to a group that has the challenge to complete a block of your BOM each month and post the results. So far I'm on schedule. The end of the month slips up on me, but so far I'm keeping up. I'm working on Primitive Garden by Lisa Bonegan. I just love this quilt! I went to the Mid Atlantic Quilt Festival and saw it there. The quilt just looked so good, and of course it won a blue ribbon as it should have. I'll be heading out to the Tarheel Quilter's show this weekend. Off to stitch a bit...
